Infusion
Intravenous
(IV) infusion is one method of delivering medication directly into the bloodstream.
Antibiotics, chemotherapy, and pain management medications are just a few types
of medicines that are regularly administered intravenously.
Many Multiple
Sclerosis medicines are already given by IV infusion. Our registered nurses administer
medicines by IV infusion, thus decreasing the anxiety and other barriers associated
with self-injected medicines.
Riverhills Healthcare has an infusion suite
conveniently located at the Wellington office. At the infusion suite, you should
expect an atmosphere of professional caring by our experienced staff. Once you
arrive, we will assess your vital signs, review your physician's orders, and answer
any questions you may have regarding your specific healthcare needs.
You
will be closely monitored the entire time. Specific discharge instructions will
be provided to you. Appointments for IV infusion can be made by calling 513-241-2370,
ext. 1209.
