Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is one of the most common diseases
of the central nervous system. Today over 2,500,000 people around the world have
MS. MS is the result of damage to myelin - a protective sheath surrounding nerve
fibres of the central nervous system. When myelin is damaged, this interferes
with messages between the brain and other parts of the body |

is MS LunchBunch?
MS Lunch Bunch is a live and virtual social network formed
for fun and education about Multiple Sclerosis. Membership includes people diagnosed
with MS, friends, family members and business leaders who support them. Network
members get together for lunch to have fun and share information to enhance their
lives. Between lunches, the group uses technology to keep in touch, encourage
each other and stay abreast of current news and information. The overall goal
of the network is to help members find the information and motivation to make
continuous small changes to better their lives.
Riverhills Healthcare is
a longtime supporter of organizations dedicated to making the lives of those with
MS better, as well as to research into Multiple Sclerosis.
